Slightly darker in hue than expected for style, but she's a beauty. Burnished gold capped by a bountiful white head. Solid retention, clumpy lacing.
Green, citrus rind, wet grass, mild pineapple, and some hints of lighter malt.
Flavor pushes an earthy, flattened out tropical leaning grapefruit rind, pineapple, floral lemon, and a slow drying bitterness.
Mouthfeel is on the fuller side for style, good carb, and slightly dry on the back end.
Overall, a pretty nice take. Definitely a looker.

Tall can, purchased at the source in Black Rock, Ct. a few days ago.
Hazed up pour, quickly vanishing cap, that does leave a few strands of larger bubble lacing.
Mild and non descript sniff, with perhaps some ripe melon/pineapple coming to mind.
Again I get some ripe melon/pineapple on the palate, also some resiny grapefruit notes....decent but not overwhelmingly memorable....sort of middle of the road NEIPA....

On tap.
Looks good, a hazy copper with a coarse white head.
Smell and taste are tropical fruits and leafy green hops. Pretty good hop character, with a light honey caramel malt sweetness too.
Low bitterness and low carbonation. It's got a smooth body but feels a little flat.
Overall pretty good, but not stellar. Sounds from the reviews like it may vary batch to batch.

Can from the brewery. Color pale raw clover honey, so hazy it's opaque. Aromas of pineapple, passionfruit, tangerine and (seriously) fenugreek leaves. Taste follows the smell. Nice bitterness coats the back of the mouth, and lingers. Moderate carbonation lets the flavors come through. Beautiful representation of a NEIPA.

This beer should have never been sold commercially at a bar for $8.00. Normally I don't rank or review bad beers because it's not worth it, but this beer illustrates a disturbing trend in what is being passed off as good New England style IPAs. The aroma is exactly like a bandaid and clearly has phenols. Tastes nearly as bad as it smells. Overall this is not even close to a passable beer. Too bad because the brewer is a good guy who makes otherwise quality beers.
