On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a ruddy amber color with a stifled little white foamy head that slid off pretty quick. Barely any lace.
The aroma cued some maltiness to play with some sweet blackberry tones and sly yeasty spice. Slight rustic character. Touch of breadiness on the back end.
The flavor yields to the maltiness then casually subsided to a refined blend with the blackberry and yeasty spice. Malty smooth aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, somewhat low. ABV felt good. Finish was malty with a slight blackberry sweetness.
Overall, pretty good saison worthy of coming back to. Actually, I wouldn't mind pairing with a salmon burger.
