Poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a settling bronzed yellow to orange murky/chill haze color. A nice cap of white foamy head took it's time to recede. Some filmy lace coddled the sides of the glass.
The aroma had such an incredible balance of sweet to tart guava flesh firmly melding with some sweet wheat. Mild grassy hoppiness underneath and an ever so slight noticeable pineapple character.
The flavor mixed up thoroughly the guava sweet to tart into each other very nicely. A touch of grassy hops slide in underneath. Mild sticky guava flesh in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a great sessionability about it. Good carbonation with an appropriate smoothness leading into the finish with some juicy sweetness.
Overall, hope Travis Roy is proud of this year's recipe cause I would say 1st Republic did a mighty fine batch of this limited beer!
