Draft pour to snifter, black, tan head with excellent retention and very good lacing. Nose is earthy, roasty, chocolate, subtle. Very dry with roasted malt flavors on top, bitter chocolate, bitter in general. Well above average feel and average carbonation.

Sampling a cold crowler poured into a snifter. Crowler is a gift from my brother Curt. Thank you! the beer pours a rich deep dark cola brown color. I get a densely packed tan to brown head of 1 cm foaming up and then it fades to a thin edge layer and a seastar shaped wispy island on the surface of my glass.
The aroma is all malt with some dark chocolate, raisin and plum fruity notes, roasted coffee and a little brown sugar. i dont get any hop presence here and the booze is well hidden too.
The first sip of this beer reveals an slightly slick textured beer with fine and tingly carbonation. The body is fairly thick on this one, but not quite chewy.
The flavor of the beer is also rich and malty with dark chocolate and dark fruit with raisins mixed in for good measure. There is a good dose of roasted malt and some coffee bitterness on the finish which also reveals a bit of black peppery booze quality, but no warming character. I find no hops on this beer flavor profile.
The beer is very drinkable for the ABV and is a malt forward flavor. Quite enjoyable and one that I would recommend to folks visiting Millworks.

I tried this on tap at Millworks, served chilled in a snifter.
the color is black, opaque with thin tan head fine bead decent retention. The smell is faintly roasted with mild plum-like yeast ester. The feel is good with moderate to high roast with medium sweetness moderately low carbonation with mild bitterness and alcohol in the mostly dry finish.
The taste is very good with dark malt roastiness and slight woody taste (hops?) with a mild yeast flavor that accents the malt well. The malt has a dark roast coffee and bitter cocoa type flavor with slight burnt malt in the back with low alcohol in the taste even when warm. This is a pretty tasty take on the style - traditional and very subtle bitterness-wise, I would not have believed it was 65 IBU and the alcohol is well hidden-excellent Imperial Stout.
