poured chilled in a spiegelgau IPA glass from 12 oz can
Appears amber with very good clarity and thick white head lace clings and retention is very good
The aroma is tropical citrus with ruby red grapefruit scent and light caramel malt odor and slight alcohol aroma
The feel is very good with plant resinous hop texture and moderate jop bitterness with medium carbonation and mostly dry finish
Taste is fruity yet moderately bitter hop in initial taste with supprting malt sweetness and light clean yeast in middle adds a gently creamy feel with subtle alcohol in the back. The hop flavor is primary with a moderately citrus type bitter yet flavorful orange rind quality the is interwoen with hints of caramel malt.
This is a well made Imperial I P A reminiscent of some of the classic examples of the style with great flavor and aroma. Repeat samples are desired which is uncommon in this category of ale

12 oz can, no date
slightly hazy dark orange golden in color, thick off-white head. decent lacing, good head retention. aroma is a nice mix of citrus and mild pine resin. taste is slightly sweet, similar hop flavor, some mild toasty malt. enough mild underlying bitterness. medium bodied, a touch sticky. overall hits all the spots I want in a DIPA

On tap at the brewery. Pours a nice amber-gold with a persistent off-white head. Initial impression is citrus, tropical, fruit, pine, and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium and a little sticky; carbonation is on the light side. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, but this is definitely a boozy DIPA. (Love it!) Finish is sweet with a slight lingering bitterness.
All in all, this isn't a world-changer, but it's a competent, drinkable, enjoyable DIPA. Well done.

Whelp, Millworks is bottling now which is pretty cool. Purchased a variety case - this is a 12oz bottle poured into snifter appears copper with offwhite head.
It smells boozy with alcohol upfront then gets herbal with pine-like hops.
The tastes is boozy with herbal hops and contrasted by caramel malt sweetness. It gets a little grassy feeling towards the back.
This is medium in body with modest carbonation. Overall this is just an OK DIPA. With so many hop forward and complex hoppy offerings on the market this one is lacking with its central focus on the booze more than anything else.
