Had this on 2019-11-17 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 12oz 2019 can with no date.

A - Opaque dark brown with a light-brown 1.5-finger head and good lace.

S - Espresso latte with a drizzle of chocolate syrup while eating well-toasted bread with dried cherry preserves. Appealing.

T - Charred grains with acerbic roasted bitterness. Dark roasted coffee with a splash of whole milk. Prune, dried cherry and dried fig. Black pepper. Strong black tea. Tannin. Light caramel sweetness partially mitigates the charred bitterness in the finish.

M - Medium body and light carbonation. Chalky and astringent from the tannin.

O - Too much charred bitterness for me. A little less char and some more sweetness would've gone a long ways to letting me enjoy the submerged dried fruits and caramel that I'd hoped for in the aroma. Looked and smelled really good though.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz bottle poured into my snifter. The beer is a trade from my brother Curt. Thank you!
The beer pours a jet black color with a creamy dense tan colored head foaming up about 2.5 cm even with a gentle pour. The foam fades slowly to a fairly thick edge layer and a thinner surface covering. This foam sticks around throughout sampling.
The aroma is all malt with deep roasted notes and some dark chocolate, also a bit of char and almost tobacco scent mixes in here. I dont get any peppery booze or heat and the hops make no appearance at this point.
the first sip reveals a very smooth textured fairly thick body with very fine and gentle rolling carbonation. The physical traits on this beer are pretty good for a bigger beer it is very drinkable.
The flavor is what nose advertised with roasted notes and some molasses and a bit of dark chocolate. I also do get a bit of burnt tobacco again here but not as strong. the roasted bitterness lingers long after each swallow and I dont get any booze nor any hops. Very drinkable for just a hair under 10% ABV. A nice Imp Stout.

[IMG] Poured a little colder than I prefer into a 16 oz Magnify Snulip glass not sure when it was bottled. Pours a beautiful slick black with a massive 2 plus finger mocha head that leaves spotty lace behind as it slowly settles into a thin layer of mocha bubbles. 4.75

Smell is dark chocolate, roasty dry coffee, vanilla bean, char, and maybe a little anise.3.75

Taste is much better no anise, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, toffee, maybe a little dark fruit, and just a hint of char and maybe leather. 4.5

Mouthfeel is pretty dark big and slightly creamy, perfect carbonation for the style, a tad dry as I expect out of a stout like this, and drinks bigger than 9.6% ABV but still very drinkable. 4.5

Overall this is a very attractive and tasty Imperial Stout the nose was a tad strange, but really a excellent stout. Thanks @jzeilinger for this great beer. 4.25

A - Pitch black pour with thick toffee colored lacing and a creamy looking texture.

S - Cocoa, cocoa creme, milk chocolate, roasted chocolate malt

T - Roasted cocoa, cocoa creme, dark chocolate, delicate coffee roast, some dark fruit, roasted caramel, and a lingering roasty finish. The alcohol does poke through early on but never overbearing or detracting from the chocolate roast character hi-lighted in this beer with little to no warming.

M - Thick and full bodied, lip smacking sticky, velvety and silky

O - This is a fantastic Imperial Stout, 'wish I bought more bottles of this one. Recommended.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark, inky black with a thin light tan head. Initial impression is coffee, dark chocolate, and caramel. Nice roasted notes. Mouthfeel is reasonably thick, but too thin for the style. At least for my tastes, anyway. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Finish is sweet and chocolate-y. Not bad, but not a world class Imperial Stout.
