On tap at the brewery Ale House.
Clear but very dark brown colored body with a good white head. Nice ruby highlights.
Lightly sweet, enticing aroma with toffee and coconut. The flavor is sweet with nice strong coconut notes.
Smooth medium body with medium light carbonation.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a nearly opaque dark with white head that left a very slight lace. The scent had Almond Joy notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with Almond Joy flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a solid beer.

Enjoyed from the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This beefy brown pours a
nice deep cola brown color with a nice head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
swirling layer, and showcases light lacing. Nose of coconut and toasted malts...nice but rather
one dimensional. Flavors are surprisingly forward and lightly more complex with deeply toasted
coconut and earthy woodsy notes underpinning a standard English brown ale with light brown
sugars and subtle toffee. Nice mouth feel; medium body, mild carbonation, and a lightly dry
yet sweet coconut touched finish. Nicely balanced and highly quaffable for the summer
months here in Cincy.
Overall, a nice little brown
Cheers

A very deep red/brown brew, Culebra Cut comes off as a beer that looks like it might have a real kick. Sure, there's a kick, but it's all coconut!
The low ABV (my growler says 6.1%, so a little higher than what's listed here) really allows the flavor of the coconut and indeed malt, to come to the forefront. The malt sweetness goes great with the coconut.
There's really not as much coconut on the nose as there is in the taste, but it still makes its presence well known.
Overall, I like this beer. Technically it seems pretty standard, but that explosive coconut flavor will make you want to sit on the beach.
Also, try half of this with half of their Nellie's Caribbean Key Lime ale and you'll have something that really DOES taste like suntan lotion (in the best possible way).
