This in color is very light and slightly hazy. Moderately carbonated. Hoppy yet fruity, a very nice balance. A light, double IPA with a very well balanced flavor. Any IPA lover would enjoy this.

A - Pours out a slightly pale, bright orange body, slightly translucent but mostly opaque, with notable white floaties. White head on the pour, minimal lacing.
S - Pungent blast of citrus, strong pith and dank hop notes, and a spearmint hint that lingers.
T - Open is a sweet juicy hit, orange juice and peach foremost, tropical notes through the middle of pineapple, passionfruit and mango, and a pithy finish.
M - Moderate carbonation, sticky on the tongue, a dry, brisk close.
O - This is a lush, tasty brew, with lots of presence, a great flavor profile, and an easy drinking feel. Delicious.

poured from a 16oz can into a snifter. pours a hazy orange juice-looking liquid with a thin, frothy foam. it’s certainly Citra-hopped - straight orange juice hoppy bitterness on the nose. taste is fairly one note. big orange citrus with a slight hoppy bitterness. there’s really not much else to report. mouthfeel is fine but a little thin for an imperial IPA. feels more like a pale ale with the slight alcohol burn and content of an imperial. overall, not a bad beer my any means but beefing up the mouthfeel would go a long way with this beer for me. it’s like it can’t decide to be a Double IPA or a little APA..

Pours straight orange juice with a big, soapy white head. Great lacing.
A huge citrus hop smell. Orange, tangerine and malt.
Wonderful taste of candied orange, passion fruit, with spice and pepper on way out. Nice malt bill present. Great balance.
Nice soft mouthfeel. Wonderful example of the style!

16oz can, undated but presumed to be fresh, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a hazy and turbid orange color, amber hues with a hint of gold and a nice, foamy white head, cresting atop the glass about two fingers tall with good retention and nice striations of soapy lace. The aroma is pleasant, tropical pineapple, valencia orange, mango, white tea, lightly floral and somewhat herbaceous with a nice bitter green hop character while there is ample sweet dough and soft yeast. The flavors are very good, lots of fresh tropical fruits, more floral and grassy than the nose would suggest, lightly herbal with a more raw hop experience that is balanced by sweet yeast, pale grains and a sweet berry fruit. The mouthfeel is good, creamy and coating medium body, more lively at the finish with a dry and crisp bite.
Verdict: A very good NEIPA from Mikerphone. Bright with a nice delicate flavor profile that offers some softness as well as some more assertive bitterness and spiciness as it warms.

The look on this one was more cloudy than hazy. The smell pineapple and mango. The taste followed the smell with a lot of pineapple up front. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy. Solid beer but I was really looking forward to this and it kinda disappointed a bit. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Testing... testing... Mikerphone Brewing is testing the New England styled IPA by pushing it to imperial status, double dry hopping it and dressing it up in the uniqueness of Citra hops. The results basically evoke a standing ovation from the tastebuds.
Matte gold and cast in a turbid pastel gold, a nudge in the direction of orange is just a precursor to scent as a frothy, creamy blanket of foam overcomes the nose with a rife scent of citronella laced with herb, tropical fruit, botanical spice and orchard fruit. Nearly teeth churning to the mouth, a sweeter shortcake sweetness meets up with agave, sherbet and a pleasant cereal malt creaminess.
As the ale rolls over the middle palate, the hops take full command with the radiance of blood orange and Valencia that hovers confidently above a second tier of flavors with their nectarine, mango, apricot and papaya. All the while, a spicier taste of lemon verbena, sassafras, cedar and matcha tea brings a firm and balancing bitterness with a fresh spruce kick.
Medium full in body, the malty but drying ale brings a spicy finish that's redolent with gin and its melange of botanical flavors before heading into a medium long aftertaste of freshly macerated fruit peels, hemp-like herbs and a persistence of malt creaminess.

"Batch 006". Bottled 3/8/17; drank 3/18/17 @ the Palace.
Opaque dull yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big white head; frothy lace.
Pineapple, peach, mild dry grass & faint cotton candy notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Pineapple juice, peach & mild cream flavors up front; soft cotton candy & faint dry grass notes on the finish. No booze heat.
A nearly perfect NE IPA. Wow!
