No canning date. No idea the age on this:
Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (30% clarity) medium to light yellow color with a mild white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)
Aroma: Relatively mild to moderate aromas of lemon and grapefruit citrus. Some earthy tangerine underneath. Citrusy. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of lemon citrus, grapefruit citrus, pineapple. A oat and wheat malt body to provide some balance to the hops and sweetness. Some lemon off the end, lightly sweet. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation. A smooth, yet full mouthfeel. Lightly sweet. The malt body really gives this a smooth finish, inviting another sip. (4.25)
Overall: A pretty impressive pale ale here. Juicy citrus here. Lemon, grapefruit, some pineapple. Light and bright. Juicy. The mouthfeel is fantastic and provides just enough tickle and sweetness to invite another sip. (Rating: 3.91+, maybe better if I knew how fresh it was).

Pours a deep gold, can only see shadows through the haze. Smells is downrightawesome, lovely fruit and bitterness. The taste matches the smell, bitter byvlles along with the fruit. Well balanced, I would pick this up any time I want a DDHIPA.

Mikerphone Slim Hazy
A: This aptly-titled NEPA pours a hazy golden orange, not quite turbid and milkshake, not even completely opaque toward the thinner areas of the pour, but certainly hazy. Head is fairly underwhelming at only about a finger and a half, and staying power is similarly poor. Lacing is solid. Carbonation appears low and lazy. This one seems a bit all over the place on the fundamentals, but is overall solid. 3.25/5
A: For a NEPA, this is surprisingly dank. Underneath the green weediness and pine is the typical tropical fruit: mango, pineapple, and plenty of orange juice. There is light grapefruit, particularly ruby. Some spiciness is present as well. A crackery, slightly sweet maltiness rounds the aroma out. This is solid but a little out of character for the style. 3.5/5
T: Again, this is very dank, piney, and green up front. Plenty of orange juice comes through with a healthy helping of grapefruit (mango and the more tropical notes are basically absent). The grapefruit leads into a little lemon and then spiciness, rindy bitterness, floral notes, and grass. The transition between flavors is anything but smooth, however. It is oddly abrupt, with "gaps" of flavor between the dankness, slightly sweet citrus, and the return of the dank. It is all very odd. Warmth brings the disparate elements better together. The malt also comes out more, crackery, almost sugar cookie-ish. What is here is decent, but it is quite simplistic and disjointed, not to mention too bitter to be a NEPA. (Edit: The improvement this beer sees on warming almost all the way up is remarkable. Its score for this category raised a half a point just by warming.) 3.75/5
M: For 6%, this is fairly watery, and further, the carbonation is very low, maybe even lower than many cask beers. Bitterness is mild to moderate in the grand pale ale scheme, but for NE-style beers, it is quite high. Somehow, the beer remains drinkable. A thicker feel and higher carbonation would really improve this. 2.75/5
O: Despite this being very off-style (and "Hazy" in the name clearly implies NE-style) and the frankly poor feel, this is still a tasty and enjoyable beer. This is more in line with Toppling Goliath's lighter beers and any others that are more in between West Coast and NE hoppy beers. Even then, it is still just fine, no more, no less. It is not worth the cost. There just is not much to say about this beer, but, as previously stated, it is still good going down; it just does not stand up to close scrutiny. Additionally, however, I personally enjoy these sorts of "midway" beers since I sometimes miss bitterness but still want that hit of juice. For that, it gets bonus points here. Pair with Enter Shikari's "Common Dreads," which attempts many things and ultimately ends up mediocre at everything (but fun regardless). 3.75/5
