Angry burnt black with syrupy brown edges clinging in staining legs with a head that dies instantly (mostly due to the fact that it gushed out of the bottle fairly vigorously).
Tons of bacon flavor coats the palate, accentuated by smoky maple and a little chocolate pancake that's of course sticky on the finish. However, there's a slightly tart cherry astringency cutting throughout. It seems like it might be a little off.

Smells like a campfire. Smoky bacon overwhelms the beer. The mouthfeel is chewy and vicious. Half way through the second pour, I had a big slimeball in my mouth. Spit that sh#t out and continued drinking. Think I'll grab some jerky to go with this and be on the lookout for any more floating snots.

Tasted in a tumbler from draft at the Mikerphone Brewing tap room on June 2, 2018. Imperial breakfast stout with Vermont maple syrup, Tugboat Sumatra coffee and Nueske's applewood smoked bacon. Like eating a mouthful of Neuske’s and washing it down with coffee.

I'm really surprised by the low-ish rating on this. I found the coffee, maple, and bacon to be well balanced and the mouth feel was fantastic. The bacon added a slight salty-smoky flavor but not artifical bacon-bits in any way.

This is just gross, plain and simple. How these beers sell out the day of remains a mystery to me.
Pours super viscous. Smells like maple, sweet, and ash tray. Tastes similarly, ungodly sweet, lots of maple. minimal bacon. But overall theres just this gross ashy/ burnt flavor you get from the whole thing
Would not buy again
