I am a fan of wet/fresh-hopped IPAs. My favorite time of year, especially because the beers are most frequently strongly hop-forward IPAs (West Coast) and I'm tired of NEIPAs. Naturally, I had to try this. I am a fan of Mikerphone Check (or at least I was), and this version doesn't strike me as notably different. It's a dense straw color, there's a hint of pine on the nose once you get through the fruit, the mouthfeel is oilier than I remember (but then I buy it so infrequently). It tastes like I remember Check tasting, which, in my current state of mind, is disappointing. If NEIPAs are your jam, come forth (though I believe this varietal is sold out as of the writing of this). I am bitter that it isn't more bitter.
