look: 3.25 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.25
On tap at Sigler’s in Tennessee.
Looks like unfiltered apple cider with a weak head that leaves minimal lacing. Fruity and sweet aroma.
Lightly sweet up front but mildly bitter by the finish. Hoppy as a pale ale. Lightly fruity without a clear blueberry note until the aftertaste.
Smooth medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Honestly not meaningfully different than regular Homestyle. Blueberry is basically unnoticeable, and honey adds only a small amount of residual sweetness to the aftertaste (at least for my palette). Look is pale gold with a cloudy, pulpy haze and a frothy, bubbly white head that provides faint lacing. Smell is tropical citrus and sharp grapefruit, very pungent and sweet. Taste is dominated, for me, by grapefruit bitterness, very pithy and puckering, with grassy and herbal notes and a light biscuity backbone. Very juicy, refreshing, and tasty. Feel is more substantial than the look would suggest, which I guess is where the oats come in. Medium mouthfeel, quite silky and creamy on the tongue, which adds to the lasting bitterness that seems to hang on forever. Like I said, not much different than regular Homestyle. But considering Homestyle is possibly my favorite local beer brewed here in Nashville, that ain't a bad thing.
