L - 1-finger offwhite head atop a near-opaque orange body.
S - strong grapefruit, herb.
T - lovely grapefruit flesh with some bitter rind. Earthy middle, with a hint of dough and flowers. Moderate bitterness. No sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - love the aggressive bitterness on this one.

This is Chasing Rainbows Three, canned 10/2/2017. Poured pale orange, hazy with a fluffy off white head into a tulip. Great lacing. Sweet orange and grapefruit, florals on the nose. It's mandarin oranges, sweet grapefruit, mango and papaya, some faint graininess. The feel seems just a bit less cloudy and chewy but overall this is hugely drinkable. Lets face it, overall, the smell and taste is what sells beer and this nailed it.

I think I found the hop rainbow! Very citrusy and hoppy. Great overtones of grapefruit with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Smooth taste and gentle on palette.

Nailed the east coast hazy look. Taste is a little weak, flat finish. But the promise is there, should improve over time. This is more of a standard pale, I would like to try some DIPA's next.
Yazoo still owns Nashville, but Bearded Iris is coming on strong. Excited to visit both whenever I roll through town.

16 oz can poured into pint glass canned on 2/6
A: Milky brown yellowish body very turbid body, almost no head just a small film.
S: papaya, honey, apricot, cantaloupe, some lemon, light yeasty smell
T: Lots of sweet mango, pineapple, honey, cantaloupe, and then lots of oats and grain cereal like taste.
M: Very chewy thicker bodied Low carbonation.
O: This is a pretty juicy fruity beer but the cereal grains taste is a little strong on the finish. Otherwise this is awesome, if you are anywhere in Nashville and you see Bearded Iris on tap it's going to be your best option.

Poured into a tulip glass. Looks like pulpy orange juice- extreme yellow haze with a white head. Tropical notes on the nose- lots of citrus and other tropical fruits. Taste follows the nose: quite tropical, prominently citrus, and a soft, pillowy malty backbone. The malt is more prominent here than in their other IPAs, but it's quite nice. Velvety, smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Balanced overall, a great NE style IPA.

Can dated 2/06/17. This is my favorite color for an IPA, nice cloudy yellow ipa with a soft white head. Smell is of ripe tropical fruits, pine notes, and maybe breadiness?!?! Taste is a juicy fruity IPA with that bite that does not stick around. Nice soft velvety feel that is very inviting. Overall I want to go to the brewery because their beers are making my palate happy.

Look: The beer is ominously cloudy with a golden rim and dark amber core. A very unfiltered appearance and a promise of good things to come.
Smell: Citrus-forward on the nose along with pineapple. The malt manages to barely fight through on the nose.
Taste: Citrus front end, herbaceous mid palate, and a tropical finish. Well-integrated bitterness with a finish that catches your attention for a moment but quickly beckons the next sip.
Feel: Medium-high body, carbonation is medium-low. The structure allows the malt to soften the bitterness even though this beer seems to have low residual sugar.
Overall: The IPA takes elements you've encountered in other IPAs and reinterprets them in a new light. An original, balanced, and pleasing beer.

Canned 2/6/17.
Poured from 16 ounce can into Bearded Iris tulip.
Hazy yellow/light golden. One finger white head that dissipates to nice ring. Some initial lacing but doesn't linger long.
Citrus and tropical fruits dominate the nose. Mostly passionfruit with some hints of peach.
Taste is citrus and tropical fruits with some grassy flavors.
Soft. Medium body. Light carbonation. Mildly bitter finish that lingers a bit.
Another very good NE style IPA from Bearded Iris.
