Good Lord! These people make great beer! I've just recently discovered this brewer and every beverage made by these folks that have crossed my lips has been top notch and this is no exception. Big thumbs up!

From a month old tall boy into a tulip. Dense and thick and bright yellow-orange with a chalky white head that subsides quickly, leaving next to no lacing. Lots of juicy and pulpy mango on the nose, maybe a little fleshy passion fruit, a little orange blossom, a little fresh creamsicle sweetness. Taste follows and brings just a touch of resins my bitterness in at the end. A bit one-note without layers...but it is a good note. Carb is a little low, body is full, and mouthful is only a little bit lively on the back half...not sure it hits the “pillowy” standard. There’s a bit of heat, which I could do without...it packs a punch.

Pours a hazy bright yellow with an orange tint. Nice white cap leaves good lacing. Aroma is citrusy but rather faint. Flavor is full of citrus fruits with some melon. Slight hop bite in the finish. Feel is medium bodied with fairly low carbonation. Overall an above average beer with a more than above average price.

Poured from pint can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a clear yellow hue with moderately active carbonation jets fueling a 2 inch frothy white head with good retention.
S: Mango cream with soft pine resin. Hints of orange and white grape.
T: Moderately bitter and dank pine with mango cream and soft orange.
M: Light-medium body. Soft and slightly creamy feel with moderate bitterness and balancing citrus sweetness. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Good example of style. Refreshing and well crafted.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 6-5-20 for $3.99. Canned on 5-27-20, consumed 8-19-20. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a hazy golden orange with a very nice white head that has some nice hang time.
Nose is a very nice combination of dankness and tropical fruit.
Taste is a pretty good size malt base that is infused with orange and passion fruit. Finishes with a nice pine and rind bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is delightfully light and refreshing. Doesn't get much better than this.
Overall i am very impressed with my first brew from these guys. They are on par with my favorite AZ brewer. I look forward to future offerings!

Old school, cat pee and tastes-like-weed- the Simcoe hops are still getting a bad rap. But in stead of backing away from the polarizing hops, the Bearded Iris brewer doubles down. Taking their Scatterbrain New England styled IPA and strengthening it, double dry-hopping it and delivering at the peak of freshness brings out even more of what the hop is all about.
Oddly appealing to the eye, Double Scatterbrain pours with the translucence of scrambled eggs but with the glow of grapefruit juice, the beer's blanket of retention and sturdy lace is frothy and inviting. Juicy, bright and with the tang and succulence of tropical fruit, the nose radiates with honey, pine and bouquet of herbal grassiness. Just as juicy is the malt taste of agave, honey and shortcake cake in a firm grain sweetness on the front of the tongue.
As the sweetness starts to drift, the remaining fruit flavors are rife with a tart and spicy. Empowered flavors of passionfruit, pineapple, kiwi, cantaloup, grapefruit and orange simply bounce off of the middle palate. Growing bitterness is smooth like English bitters laced with Curacao liquor, muddled peel and a collection of gin-like botanicals.
Creamy and medium full to start, a moderately malty sweetness finishes malty dry, crisp and bitter with herbaceous grasses. With a mild grip on the throat, the beer's balance favors the bitterness but with a strong rebuttal from cereal grains even late. With an drying aftertaste of citrus and tropical fruit with fresh tea leaf endures in a medium long hop spice.
