Poured from pint can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a slightly hazy lemon yellow hue with 1 inch frothy white head with excellent retention. Leaves a bit of lacing behind.
S: Fresh grapefruit and pine resin with some tangerine, white grape and melon. Subtle honey note.
T: Again leads with fresh grapefruit and pine resin. Around the edges you’ll find tangerine, honeyed melon, soft lemon, and white grape.
M: Light-medium body. Moderately bitter throughout with some citrus sweetness. Subtle oily feel. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: A nice example of style and well executed brew.

A - Hazy orange body, short white head, thins quickly to slight cap, thin line lacing.
S - Grapefruit zest and pith, just a hint of pine and citrus.
T - Open of bright fruit, mild pith over a decent malt core, mostly deepening the flavor, with a subtle bite in the finish.
M - Prickly carbonation, moderate weight, dry finish.
O - A lovely New England take on the DIPA, smoothed out the sharp edges, quite drinkable.

On tap, 12 ounce serving, stemmed tulip glass.
Cloudy unfiltered pale yellow wheat in color. A 1f clean white cap hangs around and leaves wispy lacing.
Like its cap, clean aromas; grapefruit rind, lemon juice, a bit of berry, dankness.
Taste of more citrus; grapefruit, orange, mix of peels. There are pine and a bit on green onion from its abv.
Medium bodied, a bit juicy. Some bitterness. There’s an alcohol pop throughout the drink.
Dry grain finish.
It’s good but the 8.5% abv undermines its flavors and drink-ability-ness.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top taster; canned 05/06/20, code FLIPADELPHIA.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, orange color with a one finger, off-white head, half finger retention, and, given the retention, surprisingly limited lacing
S: Sour side of tangy. Fruitiness then comes forth with aromas of white grapefruit (especially the zest) and dragonfruit with a definite caramel element.
T: Semisweet and sour. The palate follows nose closely with what I would characterize as the addition of a Pixie Stix element. Bitterness solid giving a bit more of a grapefruit sense..
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Not what to make of this one (given the age). Certainly drinkable, but wondering how it would have tasted months ago. If you are going to ship cross country, quality control is a thing.

I tried this beer at the brewery. What a find! It poured a hazy golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had tropical fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright tropical fruit presence and a clean slight bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

A- hazy orange color with a one finger foamy white head that reduces to a film and leaves some lacing behind
S- pithy orange, grapefruit zest, pine resin, grass
T- juicy orange and zesty grapefruit, followed by some resinous pine, the finish gives some grassy notes and more citrus zest
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and finish

Smell: Sweet citrus, mainly orange and grapefruit.
Taste: Grapefruit but with an off-putting onion flavor. Faded hops.
Feel: Medium bodied and carbonation.
Overall: Not fresh hops, not sure why.

Picked this up a while ago while in Tennessee and as usual, took forever to get around to it! Nice can design and attempt to brew a beer that was not like something from either coast and in the end, it did work out as it had elements of both regions...
The pour to this was pretty much what I expected as the liquid was hazy, apricot, and somewhat thick. Not a lot of head topped this off but the lacing was very extensive as it covered a majority of the my pint glass, with rings faintly visible in the midst of all the suds. Citrus, dank hops, and tropical fruits filled up the nose as the taste was quite full, balanced, and not overly bitter. Vanilla and cream came into the mix as this warmed up and the taste was quite smooth and long-lasting, given how low the carbonation was. Hints of forest could be felt in the aftertaste but nothing was too strong here!
Plenty of booze in this one but you'd have to look at the label to find it. No, this wasn't fresh but there was little sediment to be seen as it was still enjoyable after all this time. Canned on 3/12/18 with "CLEVER GIRL' written above it, this was proof that people in the Volunteer State don't have to travel far to find an IPA that can hold it's own with similar offerings from the coasts...

Wow, like most others, this is a PLEASURE. Normal sharp bright orange pour, with a malty body and the super sharp citrus scent. The beer carries its normal thick body, mid-weight bittering hop schedule, yet heavy late addition hops that help to cover the high gravity. One of the easiest high gravity beers i’ve had the benefit of drinking. If you see this beer in the store, but one. I need to clear up the local market.
