Traded for this a while ago, as the date on the bottom of the can read 8/15/17 with FALLING INTO PLACE written above it. This was the first beer that I had from Bearded Iris and it was just as tasty and full as anything that I've had from this neck of the woods, as it reminded me of a New England IPA. This aged well and had plenty of juice as it held my attention from the get-go, to the last sip!
Not a bad pour to this as the hue was golden, cloudy, and quite muddled, with enough head topping it off. Amazingly, very little lacing was left along the side of my pint glass as most of the bubbles slid right down after each sip. Lots of pineapple, chalky lime, dank melon, and Galaxy in the nose as the taste was just as deep and varied as the aromas present in the aroma. Earthy and full of subtle lychee and cactus this had a hint of exotic fruit but was familiar enough for those of us who've had enough dank IPA's over the years. In spite of this beer's underlying familiarity, this was brewed well and hid the alcohol nicely as the recessed malt and light carbonation allowed the flavors to shine through and linger for the duration.
To be sure, the booze was here but the fine sediment at the bottom of the liquid helped to obscure that as it had more than enough burn for even the seasoned imbiber such as myself. While this wasn't a complete winner, there was more than enough to like here as this was a wonderful first impression. Nice job by Bearded Iris with this, as it was worthy offering and solid American Imperial IPA!

Thank you Grizzarky for this
16 oz can, dated 8/15/17, poured into teku
A- A hazy bright golden straw with a two finger white head.
S- Mango, pineapple, citrus, tropical fruits, passion fruit.
T- Juicy, pineapple, citrus, some mango, finish is slightly dank/piney.
S- Smooth, creamy, medium body.
O- One of the better hazy DIPAs I've tried, bitterness in the is nice a mild, but juicy hops. I really feel like keeping this under 8% ABV helps this beer, definitely would be keeping this well shocked if I could.

Canned 8/15/17, poured into a Bearded Iris Tulip glass.
A: Pours a gorgeous cloudy orange, with minimal head that faded quickly.
S: juicy, passionfruit, starburst candy
T: pineapple, mango, citrus
F: soft but a thick enough body and carbonation, to remind you its beer, not actual juice.
O: Don't pass on this one. One of the best releases yet, hopefully it becomes a regular in their rotation.

Appearance: Pours cloudy and pineapple juice colored; the head is one finger high and fades to a ringlet but leaves clumpy lacing
Smell: Pineapple with a hint of grapefruit
Taste: Pineapple forward, with a hint of citrusy bitterness developing, in the middle; the finish is juice and tropical with very little bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: For those who like it juicy, this is a real treat
Thanks, WPZY, for the opportunity
