Absolutely gorgeous beer. Tang-like yellow-orange body. Full haze but not pulpy or turbid. Hard pour generated a soft, pillowy, bright white head that collapsed fairly quickly but provided some faint lacing down the glass. Definitely has the juicy, attractive look down.
Finding more and more that BI’s fresh releases are dominated on the nose and tongue by a powerful green astringency. Definitely the case here, where the first wave of citrus and grass is pushed aside by that dank, green herbalness. Grapefruit juice, orange peal, biscuit, and green tea. Bright and sharp, but a little discombobulated.
Taste pretty much follows. More bitter than most BI offerings, but some of that may been the aforementioned untold, green astringency. If you can get past it I do pick up strong notes of white grape, lemongrass, citrus pith, pine resin, and dank earth. But that raw bitterness is tough to escape, both in the front and the back of the sip.
Nice, soft, velvety feel with almost zero carbonation.
One of the weaker offerings by BI, in my opinion. Which is a shame because it’s a knock-out looking beer.

Canned 1/8/18; drank 1/26/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice off-white head; frothy lace.
Grapefruit, spring water & faint wheat notes in the nose.
Soft, medium mouthfeel.
Grapefruit & spring water flavors up front; dry wheat notes on the finish.
Balanced & refreshing; a touch too dry & tangy for me. Still very nice.
