Canned 6/27/18
Hazy but light yellow gold around the edges w/ slight clarity. Head retention is minimal from the thin clear-white head.
Pretty nice nose with stone fruity hop character. Apricot, peach, etc. Then a good whiff of pineapple and mango. Then some vanilla. No trace of blood orange.
Taste follows the nose with apricot hoppy notes, some bubblegummy yeast character, raw/malted wheat backbone. Much more pronounced bitterness and slight sourness from the blood orange and then some strong and fresh mango pulpiness. The lactose is not so present here, but I do get some residual sweetness and thickness along with a touch of vanilla. Finishes somewhat crisp but still juicy.
Mouth feel is somewhat pillowy, frothy, and fairly high prickly carbonation.
I like this beer but would probably prefer a lighter fruit addition, or just go all out for a thick shakey lactose and fruity forward ipa.

Poured into a snifter. A very nice bright yellow-orange color. Hazy as expected but not turbid. A modest white head. Big fruit aroma with fresh pineapple and mango leading the way. The pineapple was also out front on the taste, playing well with the citrus. The sharpness was balanced well by the sweeter mango and vanilla. The orange seemed to be in a mainly supportive role but was there on the finish. Bitterness was soft. Slightly astringent and chalky at the end, but this was canned 3 days ago, so I expect that to mellow. Medium-to-full bodied and easy to drink. Recommended.
