Can from 7/24/18. Looks like a west coast style ipa with a slightly hazy light copper color, white a finger white head leaving spotted lacing behind. Smells of tropical fruits and sweet malts. Taste is fruit forward with some sweetness in the middle leaving very light bitterness in the back. Feel is resinous and slick. Overall pretty good beer that I would definitely like to have on tap while eating wings!

This is my second go-round with this beer, this time consuming a 1-month old can from a tulip.

Light copper body, light to medium haze, with a wonderful, fluffy white head of tightly compact bubbles that provided ample lacing down the glass. Significant plumes of tiny bubbles rising up from the bottom of the glass for the duration of the drinking experience.

Wonderful aromas of citrus candy, stone fruit, a little tropical melon and guava, grassy, dankness, and fresh rolls. Seem to remember the overall smell experience being a bit more robust when I first had this beer, but what is there is quite vibrant and harmonious.

Taste is a very nice balance between east and west coast influences. There’s certainly plenty of citrus juice, tangerine, grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemongrass, and a starchy green note (pleasant here, where sometimes not), but I also get some pine resin, some pithy bitterness, and a wonderful malty sweetness. Even has a farmhouse note in the end of the sip, which is lovely and unexpected. It’s not a juice bomb or an overly bitter IPA, but a very nice and balanced combination of the two.

Well carbonated, light-medium feel, smooth and silky, and incredibly easy-drinking.

Certainly has Bearded Iris DNA, especially on the nose and via the house yeast, but a somewhat unique beer otherwise. Not necessarily charting new territory, but excellent for what it is.
