Thanks goes out to Buck89 for this brew.

16 oz. Can

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice cloudy pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger pluse white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, peach), pretty nice little diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, peach, pineapple), pretty nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Addictive! Orange Julius! Milk Shake! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks John!

American IPA brewed with Chinook, Citra, and Columbus hops. Poured from a can into a Wicked Weed IPA glass. Very hazy pour, yellow-gold in color (some orange), and about 2 fingers of coarse white foam. The nose is pleasant and fruity. Lots of fresh oranges, grapefruit, and lemon as well as some passionfruit.

Medium body with a firm feel and a wonderfully balanced flavor with a soft, refreshing bitterness. There is some graininess up front with flavors of wheat crackers and lemon curd, then at mid-palate some orange zest and pineapple join in. There is ample malt and (I assume) some oats on the mash bill to help soften the feel. Finishes dry and fruity with lingering orange and lemon flavors.

Bearded Iris makes these hazy IPAs as well as anyone. I don't think I have ever been disappointed by one of their IPAs. This one is no exception. I would buy this repeatedly. I put it right up there with Homestyle.

Shaking up the world of hops, Bearded Iris roll out yet another hazy IPA with a slight nod to IPA of old and of the left coast with a blend of Columbus, Chinook and then generous Citra hop additions.

Pouring a pale matte golden finish, Shakedown leads with a grassy, herbal and citrusy scent that floats just above its frothy eggshell cap. Early flavors are doughy and pastry-like with the sweetness of shortcake and light honey glossing the front of the tongue.

As the hops unfold on the middle palate, an acute citrus taste commands the tastebuds with pink grapefruit and tangerine in a vivid, branch ripe display. Its sweet and starchy malts stew away on the tongue while the hops begin to develop a bitter herbal balance of fresh grass clippings, stemmy, leafy qualities and a peppery spice of gin.

Medium bodied and trending crisp and refreshing, Shakedown hosts more bitterness than usual for Bearded Iris' New England styled IPA. Its earthy hops are a throwback to American IPA of the early 2000's. But the Citra hops modernize the taste while the wheaten malts return in a doughy aftertaste.

16 oz can poured into a snifter. A very hazy bright golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Big grapefruit on the nose with some orange pith and subtle pine and bready yeast. The taste was as expected. Pine up front, followed by a rush of juicy grapefruit. Dry, bready, malt presence. Soft feel with prickly carbonation. Great if you love grapefruit juice.
