Notes:
Every house on Flamingo Road holds a secret and each resident has a story to tell. At 2616, we find Mr. Raspberry, a quiet type, Ms. Strawberry, the sort of dame you shouldn’t underestimate, and the notorious twins: Vanilla & Lactose. It was a balmy, wet evening when they arrived to a party, already well underway. But then things went sour. Who’s to blame? We’ll leave that to you. -2616- FLAMINGO ROAD, our first fruited sour, presents an enticingly fruity, refreshingly tart narrative of raspberries + strawberries + vanilla beans + lactose.

Every house has a fruity one. And at 2616 Flamingo Road, there's a couple of them. Raspberry and Strawberry join in a union of sour flavors before being soothed slightly by adopting vanilla and milk sugar. Bearded Iris lives on a pretty cool street.
2616 Flamingo Road pour peachy pink with a light lavender tint. quickly rising and falling with spritzy froth. As a tangy scent of tart berries, cider, wine and clean acids tease the nose, the jaws tighten and the mouth waters. Scant sweetness kisses the early palate with taffy, wafer, fruit sugars and sourdough.
As the sweetness scurries away, the brunt of sourness kicks in with gooseberry, lime, lemon, crabapple and sour white grape to emulate the flavors of a strikingly sour wine spritzer. As the flavors of raspberries an strawberries create a fruity medley that fuses well with the sour fruitiness, the late taste comes with a very clean but dominant balance of pure lactic acid.
Light, crisp and highly refreshing, the sourness is sterile to the point of lacking character. A dry, sour and fruity taste closes quickly with a brief aftertaste of berry skins, dry burlap and a hint of sourdough once more.

Pours a decidedly raspberry color with a pinkish-tinged sudsy head that is in a hurry to vacate the premises and let me get my fruit on. The nose is crammed with ripe raspberry especially and some fresh strawberry notes as well.
The raspberry and strawberry flavors are perfect and complemented exceptionally well by a bit of sweetness from the lactose. There is no pucker in this sour, which is my preference.
The mouthfeel is medium and on the dry side. This is REALLY good, which is not surprising given the prowess of the brewery. Fantastic stuff.

HUMBLEBRAG
Beer received in a trade with Bearded iris brewer Paul Vaughn
He suggested that i try this beer from Bearded iris as he knows that I liked Trilliums Daily Serving series
Brewed. 2.16.21 , opened 3.20.21 , poured into a Bearded Iris Homestyle stemmed glass, fizzy two finger recedes to a thin pink layer over a strawberry colored hazy liquidlacings
Aroma is tart raspberries, raspberry jam, strawberries
Taste is tart , strawberries, raspberries, red berries, tartness over sweetness
Mouthfeel is tart, quenching, dry finish, not puckeringly dry
Good beer

16 oz can poured into a snifter. A striking and moderately hazy pinkish-orange color. A standard pour produced a medium sized fluffy light pink head that slowly settled, leaving nice lacing. The aroma was bright and fruity with strawberries initially and then fading to a more raspberry note. No off flavors detected. There was a subtle sweetness to it, reminding me that this has lactose and vanilla. The first sip brought a gentle tartness with raspberries up front and strawberries on the finish. The lactose and vanilla brought a balancing sweetness which worked well and added some heft to the body. Overall this is outstanding IMO with the right mix of tart fruit and sweetness characteristic of so many BIBCO beers.
