Poured from pint can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a very cloudy lemon yellow hue with 1-2 inch billowy white head with excellent retention.
S: Sweet grapefruit, peach, mango, tangerine, and hints of lemon zest and lime.
T: Funky grapefruit, pine resin, orange cream, tangerine, and hints of melon and white grape. Very varied? Definitely yes.
M: Light- medium body. Soft and creamy feel. Layers of tropical and citrus fruits. More subtle stone fruit and grape.
D: Wow! What an interesting mix of hops. Perhaps not for everyone, but I dug it.

Picked up a 16 oz single from the Blue Door Bottleshop 10-20-21 for $5.00. Canned 10.07.21; consumed 1-8-22. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a hazy golden orange with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is very nice, a wonderful combination of citrus, tropical and stone fruit.
Taste follows the nose where a good sized pale malt base displays a totally smackable combination of peach, orange, mango, papaya, and grapefruit. Finishes perfectly balanced with no residual bitterness; 5/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied, very refreshing and satisfying.
Overall another very delicious NEIPA from Bearded Iris!

A - Pours hazy orange, opaque, with a tall white head, fading quickly to a thin cap. Lots of thin line lacing.
S - Pungent nose of orange citrus, pine and pith.
T - Follows the nose, with a big fruit front, orange flesh and grapefruit zest, a mild hop resin note over peach and pineapple fruit sweetness in the middle, and a touch of bitter pith to close out.
M - Brisk, clean and easy drinking. Bright alcohol heat, and a touch of mint-like tingle on the finish.
O - A straight ahead citrus bomb, with lots of fruit. Superb.

My second sample of Bearded Iris' work, this is a unique tasting brew, as the name implies. They didn't go totally off the reservation or anything, but it would be easier to pick out of a lineup than most. But is that good, in a style like "New England IPA," where they tend to be uniformly good? No, this one could be said to have a one of a kind style.
It pours looking like a hazy American IPA (New England). Yellow and thick, with nice lacing. The aroma may not have travelled well. This sample is nearly a month old. It smells clean. And sticky. And that's a part of the experience with this brew, it feels big and sticky. Bigger than it is, and that's fine. It has a complex taste with unusual adjuct flavors that work well.
Recommended. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. Very Varied is truly very varied.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass; canned 03/11/21, code IT'S 8 BROAD NOODLE.
A: Pours a nearly opaque, dark yellow orange color with a one to two finger, pillowy, off-white head, decent retention, and some soapy lacing.
S: The aromas of pineapple, navel orange, and cane sugar are strongest early, but a caramel core comes through as it warms.
T: Semisweet. Flavors of pineapple, navel orange, and lychee blend, but the caramel of the malt comes through nicely. Light to moderate bitterness for the style.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Picked up a set of beers from Bearded Iris and enjoyed this one the most thus far. Tasty but a little quirky.

Lower-intensity NEIPA.
Very soft in all components -- aroma, flavor, and feel. Lots of melon, pineapple, grapefruit, berry, and guava.
Drinkability is high but intensity is low in all areas -- 5/10 in aroma and flavor.
Pretty good NEIPA but on the softer side.
