Easiest review ever: It's grapefruit juice. Done.
But then this site requites more, so Bearded Iris' Punchline brings a trio of balanced flavors in the form of sourness, bitterness and sweetness for a fruit forward taste pours with the visual consistency of orange or grapefruit juice, equipped with extra pulp. Fruity, tangy and bright, the nose opens with hints of tropical, herbal and complementary citrus underneath the orange and grapefruit overplay. Sweet with honeysuckle, agave and a tepid angel food cake consistency gives the beer a smoothie upstart.
Strong fruit flavors of grapefruit play out with the tanginess of tropical fruit, green berries and especially guava that plays out with peps of papaya, light mango, gooseberry, lime, lemon and passionfruit playing a far second fiddle in flavor. Trending tart and bitter, the yin and yang of sourness and hop spice once again reaffirms the taste of white grapefruit juice equipped with a grip of citrus rinds, peels and piths looming.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the sourness and spice keeps the beer refreshing, crisp and clean although the lactose suggests something fuller and more rounded. Best served as breakfast, a slight hint of sangria and gin can be found through a matcha tea aftertaste.

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.25
This one doesn't fit into a standard category, as it's a kettle-soured IPA with lactose and fruit, specifically pink guava. In the glass, it's a hazy pale yellow-gold color with a thick white head. Bright guava aroma right out of the can on the pour, and a closer inspection yields pungent tart fruit with faint citrus and berry notes. The taste is serious guava juice and slightly tart. Some floral notes on the finish along with a slight sweetness to balance the tart fruit. Mouthfeel is slightly bigger than medium, but not in the milkshake range. Carbonation is medium or a tad lower. Overall a refreshing glass of fruit juice. Well done.
