Hard to categorize this one, as it's a fruited sour DIPA. According to the brewery, this showcases "an excessive editorial expose of blueberries + barbe rouge hops. It presents like fresh blueberry cobbler, with a deep & jammy crushed-and-baked sweetness followed by balanced, subtle acidity of those not-quite-ripe berries, and a soft closing line of lactose sugar and vanilla bean."
Look: A murky blue-purple with a thin and quickly disappearing head.
Aroma: lemons, blueberries, vanilla were all there, with a touch of vanilla at the end.
Taste: I have to say that BIBCO's description was pretty good. The opening sweetness was fleeting, leading to tart berries mixed with fruity hops that provided some bitterness. The finish was pleasantly sweet with lactose and vanilla.
Feel: fairly hefty from the lactose, but felt lighter than their Mood Ring series. Carbonation was medium.
Overall: a fun and well-made beer, blurring the lines between IPA and fruited sour, I suppose. I'd like to see a non-lactose version.
