Double IPA hopped with Nelson, Citra, & Motueka.
Some beers overflow with possibilities. In this DIPA, discover nelson, citra, and motueka hops – paired with an expressive yeast character that brings ripe fruit sweetness – together presenting as notes of preserved lemon squeeze, fragrant summer peach skin, and orange push pop, to name only a few.

Another candidate for an "Imperial NE IPA" category. I poured this beer from a 16 oz can into a pint glass. Looked, smelled and tasted a lot like a NE IPA. Another Suggestion features a light, hazy straw yellow color and a medium sized frothy white head. Good head retention and bands of frothy lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste include a lot of citrus, mainly grapefruit and orange. Bitterness is very mild for a high octane IPA!!! Mouthfeel is fairly light but not watery. Bitterness is minimal and so is any hint of alcohol presence. For an Imperial IPA, this beer goes down very easy!!! Not the best example of the style for an admitted hop head, but still a good drink that goes very well with food!!!

ONE PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours yellow and turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
Citrus aroma. Lemon and orange are discernable.
Big citrus flavor. Grapefruit forward. Grapefruit pith and bitterness carries into the finish.
Medium bodied with a gritty mouthfeel
Solid IPA

Poured from pint can into proper pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy orange-yellow hue with 1 inch frothy white head with good retention.
S: Fresh tangerine, lemon zest, sweet orange, and hints of peach, soft creamy grapefruit, and white grape.
T: Interesting…the aroma notes are flipped around here with predominant white grape and peach notes up front. Soft creamy grapefruit and lemon zest come next, followed by hints of tangerine and juicy orange.
M: Medium body. Soft and creamy feel. Citrus and grape sweetness. Juicy. Bittersweet is super mild. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Lovely offering which showcases the hops extremely well. The flip flop of what was dominant in the aroma vs taste was unique.

A - Pours solid pale orange, with a short white head that fades to a faint cap and bright white ring. Lacing is moderate, with small bubble lines.
S - Strong citrus and stone fruit, a pungent sweet nectar note, and a bit of zest and pith.
T - Lovely brightness of orange and grapefruit citrus, peach and mango, a middle of subtle fruit nectar sweetness, and a very quiet acidity and mild bitterness in the close.
M - Solid carbonation keep the full body clean in the finish. No dryness in the finish.
O - Superb. One of the best DIPAs I got from Bearded Iris, and one that holds up well. Delicious.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, pineapple and toasted caramel. Nice tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp bitterness.

09.02.21 on bottom rim of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy Arnold Palmer gold with1-2 fingers of frothy but short-lived off-white head with a nice band of lacing.
S: Strong aromas of melon, grapefruit, papaya, lime, berry, white grape, with an earthy undercurrent.
T: Flavor is excellent with tons of orange, lime, and grapefruit citrus with a vinous white grape and fruity berry character and again grassy earthiness in the finish and aftertaste. Malt component is not overly sweet and supporting. Esters are moderate + and fruity. Bitterness is low.
M: Dangerous drinkability due in part to a lighter than expected body for the ABV and higher than average carbonation. Finishes soft without being heavy.
O: Another Suggestion from BI is another great hazy DIPA with a unique aroma and flavor profile I think owing most to Nelson but also Motueka throwing some nice features too.

Picked up a single 16 oz can from TW-Spartanburg SC on 5-30-21 for $5.49. Canned 3-30-21; received at TW 5-17-21; consumed 7-15-21. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured a hazy golden orange with a beautiful long lasting white head.
Nose is very nice, citrus and tropical hop forward with a touch of cereal.
Taste is a very nice combination of orange, mango, and passion fruit over a good sized pale malt base. Finishes perfectly balanced with just the right amount of rind bitterness; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is very light and very refreshing which enhances the light tropical profile.
Overall another very good DIPA from Bearded Iris!
