Clear Bomber bottle poured into stemmed bearded iris glass
Given to me by Bearded Iris brewer/ owner Paul Vaughn . Anniversary edition , from his cellar
Our electric wild ale aged 12-24 months in French oak wine barrels, then conditioned with incandescent stacks of zappy tart cherries and raspberries. Expect poppy notes of cherry pie and raspberry sorbet.
Frothy two finger pink foamy top over a ruby red translucent liquid
Aroma is tart crisp cherries, cherry taste first and then the tartness
Taste is tart , crisp cherries
Tartness nicely lingers
Good beer

A bright but hazy magenta color with a medium pink head that slowly settled, leaving wispy laces. Complex aroma with lots of funky oak, cherries, raspberries, and faint diesel fuel. Taste was much more fruit forward. Moderately tart cherry and raspberry. The oak is deep and rich, and there was a nice funky complexity. Dry and clean on the finish with bright carbonation. Recommended.
