16 oz can, dated 10/15/20, into Smokestack snifter.
Has a gorgeous light pale blonde juice body with a creamy finger of head, leaving lace as it recedes slowly.
Aroma brings notes of ashy cannabis and pine, with some white wine, pineapple, grass, grapefruit, and green melon. It could be a little louder but it is rather splendid.
Flavor is a bit green yet, we'll see how this blooms in the next few weeks. Right now though, I get quite a bit of unripe pineapple and muscat, along with hints of grapefruit juice and tangerine. The flavor is stronger on the finish than it is at the beginning.
Feel is acidic and crispy with lots and lots of delicious resins tickling and coating the palate. Heat is nearly non existent in this one. Nice carbonation level, semi-creamy.
Overall, I'll probably come back to this review in a few weeks once this opens up. I'm astounded at how fast fresh beer hits the shelves around Nash. And it's good, so it sells and doesn't sit. So they can make more. Caption gets filed among the other generic BIBCO choices in its price range and doesn't particularly stand out from the others. However, as always, they did good work here and it is still pretty wonderful.
Price paid : $16 / 4 pack
Would buy again : sure
