16 oz can from brewery room floor, dated 10/13/20, purchased on 10/21/20. I've had quite a bit of this now, just getting around to sitting down to a formal review. It still stands up a couple months later.
Southern Grist Pink Logo Snifter.
Pours a bronze-gold body with a fingernail of head to start, then recedes to zero. No lacing. Probably due to all the adjuncts.
Aroma is generally fruity and lactic - not much in specifics. Perhaps maybe orange or some other tropical fruit. I do get a touch of nutty almond but I have to try for it. Some coconut after it warms a bit.
The flavor is where this beer comes alive. Sold me right away when I had a sample pour. I said "y'all got any four packs of that?" and they said there's two left, so I said "hold them back for me!". A punch and sting of lime and passion fruit comes out right away, following with orange juice and seedy raspberry puree, then lactic bacteria, slight almond, coconut, pineapple, limeade, and more passion fruit. It's a tropical sour dream. The aftertaste can get a touch metallic/dimey, but my friend had to comment on it before I realized it myself. My cans have stayed in check, he had one metallic one. An overabundance of lime can confuse the tongue that way.
Feel is clinging and starchy, not my favorite, but it is exciting with carbonation and alcohol heat at decidedly similar levels. This beer is pretty naked as far as alcohol and abrasiveness are concerned. Has a drying finish with lingering starches clinging.
Overall, the taste is the most important category, and this one passes with flying colors. I loved this beer, and will continue to. I don't think I've had a bad sour from TN.
Price paid : $18.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : yep

Lime heavy and carries some weight with the lactose calming it down on the back end. Be careful and sip on this bad boy.
