Bearded Iris Willie from a 16 oz can dated 12/22/20.
Stickered at $4.99.
Concord grape juice color with a bubble gum pink head of 2 fingers. Very pretty. Somewhat transparent, not juicy or thick looking.
Maple syrup evident here in the nose behind an acidic lactic profile; blueberries also making a defining statement. It's as advertised.
POW! Lots of maple. In a sort of powdered form. Like cereal. A good dose of blueberries too. Some bacterial character behind that. It's exactly what's on the can. Very tasty.
Feel is wet and mildly carbonated with a good dose of business thanks to the acidic character of the beer. Slightly drying towards the end, still slick and wet though, not sure how they do that. Mild alcohol heat present.
Overall, had I known this beer would be this good, I would have gotten a whole 4 pack. This is probably my favorite BIBCO sour yet. Very good. Delivers on the maple and the blueberries and makes me think I'm drinking blueberry juice and eating french toast crunch.
