16 oz can, canned on 2/8/21, into Boiler snifter.
Deep juicy orange with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to 1, leaving delicate lacing on the sides.
Aroma of candied orange, grapefruit, slight hop greenery, very slight dankness, very slight banana.
Flavor brings lychee and gooseberry, with white grapefruit, with some lemon notes, floral notes, white grape, and orange zest/peel. Some banana and milk cereal on the finish A good breakfast IPA if you do that sort of thing.
Feel is juicy and semi-creamy, semi-dry, with a moderate amount of alcohol heat. Carbonation is proper. Heated and drying finish.
Overall, not my favorite BIBCO beer, but it's not a bad one. It falls in line with the other forgettable choices like Caption, Very Varied, Double Homestyle, and Hotline. (Although since I remembered them I suppose they're not forgettable! My photographic memory at work) Very floral, very gooseberry-like. Kind of a cousin. Not really a main act. Has the heat of a double but a certain delicacy that is somewhat polarizing. Tasty, but ineffectual.
Would probably skip next time due to there being so many options.
Price paid : $14.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : nah
