16 oz can, dated 1/22/21, into Bearded Iris Teku.
Galaxy, Motueka, Mosaic, and Cryo Simcoe.
Hazy, slightly juicy yellow with a creamy cap of 3 fingers, leaving lots of lace destroying the glass.
Aroma from the can is purely Christmas - hot cinnamon and evergreen. A bit of spiced pine, punch bowl, and then some light wet paper underneath. From the glass I get fruit punch, mango, and kiwi. A little bit of grapefruit. Very different.
Very funk hop greenery going on here in the flavor profile. Quite a bit of dry bitter grass; that spiced Christmas tree thing with evergreen and spices; some over-ripe papaya, the white pith of not-yet-ripe grapefruit; slight vegetal notes; and a finish of mango gum.
Feel is crisp and semi-creamy, very mild alcohol, with moderate carbonation and a drying finish.
Overall it's more west-coast/bitter than most BIBCO beers. These hops don't exactly play well together in the manner they were used IMO but it plays for a 16 oz IPA fair enough. I'm finding BIBCO beers with cryo hops aren't quite as dialed in.
Price paid : $3.99 / can
