Where did all the haze go?!?! Bearded Iris has finally seen the light with a non-hazy, fruited IPA that delivers all the tropical flavor but little of the haze.
Ok, so it's modestly hazy but most IPA are. But Wave Craze certainly backs off of the more turbid clouds in favor of a lighter visual presence. However, its scent is bright, tangy and juicy with the prescribed pineapple and passionfruit that flood the nose with floral, fruity and spicy scent. It's brisk taste bounces off the tongue with the zeal of carbonation and the briskness of dry bread, light wafer and slim cereal. Hops add an element of bitterness decorated with their own citrus peel, tropical remnants and an herbal bite. But the finish is laced with essence of tropical fruit and an extended bitter bite that's unusual for the brewery.
Drying, refreshing and nearly weightless to the palate, Wave Craze speaks to the west coast hop heads that have laid dormant in the recesses of memory since all the haze arrived.

Big fruity aroma and flavor. Passionfruit > Pineapple. Nice balance but Fruit > IPA. Fairly light bodied.
