Golden State Brewery

Closed in 2019/2020 IIRC. Not the greatest, the beers were lacking. Facility was an old warehouse next to the railroad tracks on the old Memorex floppy disc factory.

Visited 2020-02-19 with my family, quick stop on a Wednesday afternoon. Seems like about a dozen taps. Hadn't yet gotten around to taking down or marking off the taps that had been emptied. Bartender was friendly, place wasn't super busy. I had a couple triple IPAs that were pretty good, my wife had a sour that she liked more than I did. Has kind of a grungy bar feel to it, but it's surrounded by brewing equipment so I like it. Decent sized outdoor area.

 

 

 

Hanging out in the brewery is cool for a beer nut like me.
Besides the big TVs there is also a pool table and a couple of dart machines.
Bites are only available when a food truck is on hand out front.
A little tricky to find out in the industrial area alongside the railroad tracks.
I would be here much more if it was within my normal traffic pattern.
About once a month I get over there on a weekend.

Large open taproom with a large bar and a handful of tables. Lots of 90's grunge playing, that's what I'm talking about. Beer is served in tulips or pints, whichever you prefer in most cases. The beers I tried were fairly solid overall. Selection is 5 to 6 styles, good selection but not great. Good people, I enjoyed my visit.
