This strong golden ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with suggestions of banana and honey in the complex palate. The Tripel has a remarkably long and smooth finish.

One of my all time favorite beers. I think it's the finest example of a Belgian beer to come out of the US. I've been driving it now for over 20 years, and I still come back to it.

Impressive. A lot of passion fruit and citrus on the nose. Tastes like lemon, grapefruit, grapefruit peel, apple, passion fruit, clove, woodsy pine and herbs, crisp bread. The finish has subtle sweet jammy fruit, apple sauce, and molasses. Any spice is very subtle- it’s more herbal and woodsy. More of a dry, crisp Tripel. Very nice. Very lovely.

Not that many places do a tripel, but these guys do, and they do it very well. It's heavy, at 9%, but you don't just taste the booze. You feel it by the time you get to the end of the can, don't get me wrong, but you can actually taste the beer. I'd agree with the description of passion fruit and honey, though I didn't get much banana or any real distinct herbal flavor coming through. It is smooth though, so I'll agree with that part too. Nicely done.

Taste is good, this mouth feel is very thin dry and it is pretty boozy. I do not think I have ever had this style before. I don’t think I could have more than one of these at a time

12oz bottle. Marking on label for dating is 'BOTTLED ON 11/06/25'.
Partly cloudy, straw colored body. Two fingers of white head with the pour, and this maintains as a cap and higher ring. Leaves behind interrupted lacing walls.
Aroma is bubble gum, banana, and sweet honey.
Taste is honey sweet, with a spicy back note that includes coriander. Fruit flavors of pear and apple. Mild yeast esters. Noticeable piney hops. Aftertaste features dry yeast.
More than medium mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth texture, with a dry finish. Spicy but ultimately sweet. Higher ABV% is hidden from the honey sweetness. Very good carbonation.
Very sippable, with its sweetness and dry finish. Fruity and spicy.

Crystal clear and gold with decent, stable head. Sharp smell, almost like sourdough. Just Belgian yeast. Coriander flavor. Minimal hop or spice flavor, but some bitterness on the back. Simple, but nice. Simple, small bubble feel.

Incredibly easy to drink despite the relatively punchy ABV, taste is smooth and full of the fruity undertones present in the aroma. Appearance is nice and clear.

Pours with a transparent gold body and lots of eggshell white head. Persistent lacing.
Aromas of banana, mango, clove, wheat, hay, butter, caramel, overripe pear and brown sugar. Nice, but very middle of the road for a Belgian tripel.
Palate is quite typical as well. Smoother and richer than golden monkey, but fairly similar.
Mouthfeel is medium heavy. Very clean finish, despite the body.
An excellent beer.

desert-like.
much alcohol heat, which probably makes it pretty dangerous to drink without moderation.

Poured from a 12oz bottle.
On the pour, 1 finger of white head forms on top of a very hazy golden straw body. The head retention is pretty good for the relatively small head that formed.
Aroma is cidery and a touch spicy as well. Not particularly boozy, but the aroma definitely hints at a stronger beer. Despite that, the spicy, sweet, and yeasty aroma is quite appealing.
Flavor is more mild and malty than the aroma suggests and is a bit more fitting of the style. This beer definitely tastes doughy and yeasty with some sweet fruit notes present as well. Some spicy esters really start to kick in at the finish.
The feel, despite the bright aroma and taste, is a bit heavier as you might expect. Despite that the finish is only medium to long and is not overwhelming. The heaviness here is really the only thing to slow you down with this one.
Overall this is a good beer and a nice way for me as an American to get a taste of a fresher Belgian style ale. This is especially considering how good this beer represents this traditional style.
