16 oz can split with my wife, poured into a snifter. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a purplish tinge. Not very pretty IMO. Aroma is wheat, vanilla, and hints of citrus, blueberry, and spice. Flavor is similar but too much sweet vanilla. Kind of weird how much vanilla I'm getting, honestly. Mouthfeel is soft and slightly prickly. Not very saison-like. Overall the vanilla sinks this beer but it's still interesting.

Pours an interesting looking hazy and raspberry color. A pinkish moderate head retains well.

The nose opens tartly with notes of blueberry, lemon and lime. Sweet malt aromas and evoke aromas of honey, cracker and wheat bread.

Like the aroma, the taste opens tartly with the blueberry really shining through and accompanied by notes of lemon and lime. Yet, the tartness is not too mouth puckering and allows the base style to come through. Doughy, bready and cracker malts come through and impart some sweetness. They support yeasty and peppery spices as well as grassy hops that impart a clean bitterness. The palate is dry overall with a fine balance, while the blueberry adjuncts compliment rather than overwhelm.

Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. The mouth full is smooth, slightly doughy, yet semi crisp. The finish is dry.

This is a really good example of a Saison. While the blueberry adds a nice touch, the base style is evident and the results are very tasty.

9th review. works for me. Very original and among the top fruit-infused saisons. Allagash does Blueberries and Belgian well.
a) A real and lasting head and lace in a field beer - great.
s) Perhaps its the name but reminds me of violet gum my mom used to fancy.
t) Everything I want in a 6% Fruit Saison. Harvest leaves, orchard, tea, wet grass and only the suggestion of blueberry.
f) Plenty of heft, but light and well carbed.
o) Needs to be test tasted against other fruit-field saisons.

Look: It pours dark pinkish and hazy. It has a pink head. Head retention is good.

Smell: There is a strong doughy and earthly aroma up front. There is a low level of blueberry notes.

Taste: It has a doughy flavor with earth and blueberry. There is a slight tartness in the flavor as well. There is a bit of floral and herb in the background.

Feel: It has a medium body with a dry and slightly tart finish.

Overall, the doughy flavor is a little much for me. I do like the slight tartness with the blueberry and hops.

16 oz can with a 7/7/2020 canning date stamp on the bottom.
Pours with clear, dark, bluish orange body with an excellent bone colored head that has great retention.
Aroma. A mix of yeasty farmhouse notes, blueberries and floral notes.
Flavor. The farmhouse elements are more prominent and nearly over power the blueberries.
Feel. Soft but lively carbonation in a medium body.
