Pours the color of champagne with a slight reddish hue and well over a finger of head. Much like the Peach-Kombucha version, there is a soapy quality to the nose. The flavor has very mild notes of sour berries. The body is very light.

A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz.can. Has a golden color with purple hues and a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mild berries, tart. Taste is berries, lemons, somewhat tart, highly refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Pours golden with a bit of a purplish tint, huge foamy head that us very short-lived. The immediate smell is grapefruit, very fresh. Then a bit of berry, slightly peppery, earthy, and pine. Pleasant enough, kind if saison-like impression.
That aroma is born out in the taste as well. Very citrus, slight berry taste, a little sweetness, a tiny bit of sweetness. Quite aromatic, but very much like a saison overall.
Light bodied, maybe not quite as refreshing as I hoped, but tasty enough to be enjoyable.
Overall, a decent and enjoyable flavor in a very light bodied beer. Maybe falls a tad bit short on the refreshment factor.

Pours a golden color with light ruby hues. Subtle haze.
Aromas of tart berries and blackcurrant. Slightly grassy and vinegary. There's a bit of wheat and peppery spice on the back.
The flavor is a bit muddled and doesn't seem to know which direction it wants to take. Starts off citrusy with some slight berry flavors, followed by a good amount of wheat and yeast. Then comes a wave of...pine? Like dank, garlic hopsauce? Slightly peppery on the finish.
The feel is light bodied with good carbonation. More smooth than crisp. Not as clean or drinkable as the other version.
Overall, I greatly enjoyed the Peach and Kombucha version of this beer, but this one definitely misses its mark. The blackcurrant flavors aren't nearly strong enough to cover all the oddities here. The other version is weird in a good way. This one is just...weird. Worst of all, it's not all that drinkable. Feels like a chore to get through 12 ounces. By no means a terrible beer, but definitely not one I'll bother with again.

Pale gold with a compact sudsy cap, rising carb trails, slight haze. Aroma is faint and yeasty, mild indistinct berry. Would never have thought it was blackcurrant, and I love them. Very light and mild feel, faint and not especially flavorful. Berry seltzer? It barely tastes like anything. If that’s your jam, go for it. At the other end of the spectrum are overfruited smoothie juice bombs, maybe somewhere in the middle is most ideal.

12 oz can with a 17 September 2020 canning date stamp on the bottom.
Poured into a lager glass revealing a slightly pinkish, clear golden body with plenty of visible carbonation. This is topped by a good sized bright white head that has good retention.
As indicated on the label, this is lightly tart and carries some sensory effects of black currants. Not indicated but not surprising from Allagash, the ale has mild+ funkiness that lingers in the subtlety fruity and mildly bitter aftertaste.
Overall. More complex, less refreshing and less fruity than expected.

I was in the mood for some lighter beers while shopping yesterday, and this new little one from Allagash caught my attention. I see it listed as "Fruit and Field Beer", but I can't see it actually being that. Let's find out what it's all abour
Pours a clearish pink tinted gold with a finger of white head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The aroma is immediately reminiscent of a saison, so that's likely what the base beer is supposed to be. Earthy pepper, lemon tang, wheat, and tart blueberries and raspberries dominate the nose
The flavor starts off with some light general berries and lemon with crisp bready malt. The swallow brings a burst of raspberry, pepper, wheat, pine, and a touch of dank weed. The weed note doesn't really work here but it's more of an aftertaste than anything
A very light body combines with effervescent carbonation for a super sessionable brew. Finishes mostly dry but coats the mouth a bit
This was pretty good. I could throw back a few of these casually on a hot summer day, but other than the low alcohol I don't really see a reason to have another

L: A lovely rose gold with a tint of purple and a tall white head that quickly dissolves to a film.
S: A strong grapefruit, pine, and currant aroma you can smell from a couple of feet away
T: The taste follows the aroma; grapefruit, pine needles, lemon zest, over a light background of currants, blackberries, blueberries, and grapes
F: Very light, as advertised. A tingly, medium-high carbonation gives it a tingly feel with a hoppy aftertaste lingering on the tongue
O: This is very good for what it is. Allagash advertises this as a low calorie (100), low ABV (3.8) session ale and that is exactly what it is; a very nice ale for all day drinking.
Little Grove isn't a watered down version of Allagash's standard saison and is a fine ale on it's own. This is loaded with flavor, without being heavy or filling, and has the drinkability of a very flavorful seltzer. This is an ideal saison for an all day session.
