25cl pour - $8.00 at Trappeze Pub in Athens, Georgia.

Appearance: Blonde-hued body with a hazed appearance and stray, white head.

Smell: A tangy-scented everso slightly sourish aroma with candied citrus, orchard fruits and a potent sachet.

Taste: Sweet honeyed malts which turns quickly towards a tangy, floral tone with a little pop of phenols. Sprinkling of rock sugar with pear/apple and orange candy. A little bit of booze. Long, sweet finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Acceptable.

Pours a clear golden color with a 1/2F head and no lacing.

Smells of Belgian yeast with a bit of a metallic tinge.

Tastes of Belgian yeast, bread, wheat's tanginess, with a bit of orange and cloves. Lightly bitter and boozy warm mouthfeel.

I can see why this is called a saison, but it is a meek one. Drinkable enough but lieavy on the ABV while light on character.

Medium light body with very light carbonation. Watery mouthfeel.

Standard pour yields little to no froth... Color is a honey gold... Just a few stray carbonation bubbles here and there, otherwise it's completely still... Pleasant nose of light honey and Belgian yeast... Simple but very enticing... Palate is exactly as expected, an exact carbon copy of the nose... Perhaps with the addition of some faint orange peel... Feel is sleek and medium bodied... Nice and enjoyable all the way around... I wish there were more easy drinking Belgian brews around and this one certainly fits the bill...

Says Winter "Ale". It's a Sour at best...skunky and an awful aftertaste. When you label something "Ale" it should be close to something like Sam Adams Winter Ale, Concord Brewing Four Rivers Red, Newcastle Brown.

Cardamom and honey. A sipper and less than fully drinkable. Sweetness above all.A bottle, from a store in Albany.A rare Allagash I thought disapointing.

Can. Golden with slight haze. Head died way too quickly. My glass is immaculate. Peach apricot honey spice hint of bubblegum aroma with booze. Medium-heavy sweetness for style with a wicked herbal spicy finish that clashes more than cleans. Medium body very fine internal carb. One of my favorite breweries, but not one of my favorite beers.

Poured into a goblet: color is straw gold, head is offwhite with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick, head dissipates to nearly nothing except a ring along the glass.

Smell is belgian yeast spice, esters, light malt, honey, light spice, simple hop aromatics.

Taste is more light belgian yeast spice/esters, moderate malt/bread, moderate sweetness, definite green apple, light melon and honey notes.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate/strong sweetness, low/moderate bitterness; a little sweet or lightly carbonated for this style rendition.

Overall a very good but slightly sweeter belgian golden ale - want a touch more dryness/hoppiness but still very good.

Worth trying, but I see why others don't enjoy it. It's pretty sweet but oddly has a sour finish that lingers and isn't particularly pleasant. Can definitely taste some spices in there, mainly cloves. It feels under-carbonated to me. Was nice on a chilly evening, but wouldn't buy it again.

Was a halfway decent pairing with some leftover Thanksgiving pumpkin pie :)

For me, saisons are not enjoyable, so this one never had a chance. This one follows in line with that style, that floral with hint of spicinness. Could not detect if this one had a winter slant. If you like saisons give this one a try.

Blonde color with a light haze. Minor head that fades completely. There are brief, runny small spots on the glass for lace.

I smell stew meat and faint Belgian yeast. Some “round” pale malt that is similar to pale Bock.

Very Belgian in taste with a strong yeast bite, light hop flavors, and full, both in body and flavor. Quite fine carbonation. Some alcohol warmth. The mouthfeel is chewy. Similar to a pale double Bock. Warming finish with a brief aftertaste.
