Pours a very clear deep yellow gold with a huge soapy head that hangs admirably then absolutely refuses to let go of the glass as it falls to chunky rafts.
The smell is fairly typical lager. Mildly sweet and bready malt, not much of a hop nose. There's just a hint of citrus and resin, even more faint floral.
The flavor more or less follows. Slightly sweet malts, but with an almost rye-like tang. The hops show up here - bracingly bitter and resinous mid-taste followed by grapefruit and lemon. Just a hint of floral on the finish. Nice lingering spiciness.
Feel is light, moderately effervescent. Refreshing. Light bodied and slightly dry.
Overall, I have no idea what kernza tastes like so I can't say what if anything it brings to the party. But this is a very drinkable beer regardless. I think they maybe overdid things a tad with the Chinook, but that's like my opinion, man

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
