Collaboration with Barrel Theory Beer Company
This Double IPA is a mind blowing mash up of malt, hops and hop hash. Two worlds colliding with a force so great that the resulting element is greater than the sum of its parts. From that collision poured this golden liquid hop juice. Drink it fresh and enjoy!
Malt: Pale Ale, Wheat, Oats & Honey Malt
Hops: Citra, Mosaic and Azacca

L: murky gold under a lacy 1" cream colored cap with good retention and a very fine bead
S: fruit, melon, citrus, tropical fruit, tangerine, a pinch of pineapple and traces of onion, garlic, pine, citrus pith, lactose, biscuit and a hint of dank
T: Citrus flavors stand out, especially orange and tangerine getting support from melon and a faint hint of onion
F: juicy and pulpy with a soft, creamy texture, medium full body and medium carbonation
O: This big flavored IPA's rich flavors and textures make it a pleasure to drink

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Bottom of can is stamped with 'CANNED ON 03/22/18'.
Murky, tangerine colored body. Two finger white head settles to interrupted cap and ring. Some strings of lacing.
Subdued aroma of dank and grassy hops, and oats.
Taste is more nuanced than the aroma, with dank and grassy hops, slightly sweet from the malt. Late in the taste profile introduces a more dank, bitter note, such as from grapefruit rind and pith.
Mouth feel is medium and thick with hops. Dry and just a hint of hop burn on the back of the tongue and the throat.
A little juicy, a little bitter, a little dank. Has a confident expression for a hopped up beer. Not juicy or soft enough to be a NEIPA. Tastes like two brewing teams having a good time together, but not close to the best of either brewery. Drink it fresh. This beer will certainly change in the can within a few weeks of storage.

A cooperative effort from two of the two most hyped hops-slingers in the Twin Cities. It worked for George Michael & Andrew Ridgeley: let’s see if this hits the same sweet notes.
The pour is more Lupulin than B.T. Looks more like mango juice than semi-solid liquefied orange pulp. Nose is mango & banana, good, but my head is still attached.
CoHoperation is a beer at war with itself. The tropical fruit is, as promised, in full effect: mango, pineapple, name your fruit, you can probably imagine it’s here. In contrast it’s dry to the point of causing dry mouth, like licking a packet of powdered beer. Moderate bitterness flows from mid-palate through the finish, leaning much more Lupulin. Did I mention it was dry? I’m going to need to be hosed down after this. Super easy to down.
Like most collaborations, there seems to be a tacit acknowledgement that the beer can’t be FANTASTIC, but rather swim towards the lowest common denominator of the participants. This is no exception. Still, a very good beer.

Great soft mouthfeel and juicy on the nose and in the taste. Not quite the juiciest "New England" style beer I've had but it was very good and better than most.

Pours a murky dark yellow color. Aroma has grapefruit and tropical notes of fruit. Taste has more grapefruit and orange peel than aroma with some peach and pear notes . Mouth feel was slight watery with a citrus rind finish. This was good ,i was however underwhelmed by this collaboration.

This is a very drinkable beer. However, with all the hype of this beer, I ended up being a little disappointed. I was expecting to be blown away by the aroma and flavor. I was not. It's good, but not great. With two of my favorite breweries invovled, I expected a much better beer, especially considering the price. $18 for 4 cans. Better luck next time???
