(4oz flight pour at the brewery just now)

Murky yellow-amber liquid, consistent collar... Pithy, fresh-squeezed oj on the nose, and that plus mango, plus other citrus on the palate... Juicy juice... It tastes like juice as if it's some repugnant radler... Mango-y and vaguely floral-herbal aftertaste, like an unfiltered, flavor-enhanced screwdriver... The texture is off, as in no wheat/oats to aid in the slop... Another arguable stand-out (2367)

 

 

 

Look - nice hazy orangish yellow with a slight white head
Smell - very very slight citrus
Taste - Citrus with a slight hop bite
Feel - medium body and carb
Overall - ok NE

 

 

Hazy to fully opaque--which is a shock to me all the way out here in Arkansas--the body's color is dark maize under an uneven off-white blanket that settles to a thin ring.

Wow, someone did their homework as it's also quite good on the palate! Complex evergreen spice is accented by a hint of mint with an underlying Froot Loops juiciness.

The frothy medium-full body has a lightly chalky to chewy dry finish.

 

 

Tasted at a fine restaurant on tap. This is marketed as a blood orange beer but I do not get any specific flavor of blood orange and it doesn’t come through in the color. The beer is very hazy and a pleasant dark orange color overall. The nose has orange notes and a hint of pineapple. The early palate has unexpected sourness from the hops which fades. Overall a good but not great beer.

 

 

On tap at brewery while ordering lunch in Hot Springs. Mineral waters and blood orange pulp make a smooth citrusy brew. Alcohol buzz was what you might expect but I still wanted another as it went down quickly!
