Phenomenal dirty copper color. Absolute pristine clarity. Impressive. The head is large (4 fingers) but recedes fairly quickly. The head never gets below a film of bubbles. Relatively little permanent lace in the form of spots.
The smell features a semi-dry aroma of caramel. There's an ever-so-slight smell of floral hop in the background. It's not enough to break out of the style, but it's a pleasant addition.
Creamy and rich, both in body and flavor. There's an interesting presence of alcohol I wasn't expecting. The finish, like the smell, has a touch of hop bitterness. The carbonation is neutral to above average. The aftertaste lingers with all of the elements present, although the toasted malt seems to last longest.

I'm an Oktoberfest guy, as you would know from my reviews, and this is one of the better ones that I've had. It's malty and a tad sweet, with just a little bit of hop spice at the back end for balance. I try pretty much any marzen I can get my hands on, and this one stacks up very nicely. Hope they bring it back again next year.
