First had poured from 12-oz. bottle, contract-brewed by Lazy Magnolia, into faceted mug. This second entry in Biloxi Brewing's limited release "Coastal Life" series is "Aged on Whole Bean Coffee," acquired from a local coffee company, but has more subtle coffee flavor than expected, and is very suitable for breakfast.

It pours a nice dark black wit an off white thick head, smell is of coffee and not much else. Taste is also heavy on the coffee, still not overpowering. Mouth full is thick but flavor full. Overall a good drink. It reminds me a lot like a Guinness.

First had in July '15 on cask, then recently in the bottle.
A: Black with a half finger mocha head that stayed a while. Thick lacing.
S: Pronounced coffee with bitter dark chocolate in the background.
T: Follows nose with a strong coffee opening then settles back to the familiar chocolate malts. Smooth, creamy, sweet and not so subtle.
M: Medium to heavy with medium, creamy carbonation.
O: I love the Black Gold and adding coffee only wakes up the taste. The cask was better; I didn't get as much of a kick from the bottle. Perhaps fresher is better.
