On tap at the brewery.
The thing is, this was actually a good beer, it just wasn't a good IPA. Bruneau is apparently a new and relatively unknown hop variant from Idaho that lends a citrus (though I thought I got more pine) flavor. The beer was REALLY malty, and actually extremely caramelly, like I don't think I've ever so distinctly tasted caramel cubes in a beer more than in this. But it wasn't malty in an "IPA is too old" way, just in a maybe "mistaken recipe" way? So I guess is what I'm saying is, if the beer wasn't hopped like an IPA, the base beer would have made a great amber or even barleywine, but for a beer labeled as an IPA, the malt profile was just way too heavy.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
