Tipsy Gypsy is a crisp Pilsner brewed with a solid amount of refreshing
American hops with notes of mango, citrus and passionfruit. A hint of
caramel malts help balance the hop flow and make this Pilsner as
drinkable and fruity as it is tasty and fierce.

L: Pale golden with a tall but thin white head that leaves continual lacing while being drunk. Everything you would expect from a good Pils. A: Not bad, but not really true to style. Certainly more along the lines of an APA (it's brewed with Amarillo and Simcoe) with citrus and slightly herbal notes, and a low, biscuity malt character. T: Poured right out of the fridge, and while still cool it has more hop characteristics of a PA (floral, citrus). Definitely a bitter bite at the end, but as it warms it feels a bit closer to a traditional Pils in that regard, maintaining a cracker-like quality to it as well. M: Watery body, medium carbonation, and a dry, bitter end. Overall, a decent beer. However, although I don't mind style variation, I am a bit confused as to what makes this a 'Hoppy Pilsner' - as described on label - more so than many traditional ones (other than just different hops).

Amber golden color with a thick head with good retention.
Nice aroma with predominant notes of lychees, bread, passion fruit and mild lager yeast.
Flavor with notes of lychees, mild pine, bread and caramel malt, mango, lemongrass, flowers and fresh oranges. Dry aftertaste with a rounded bitterness.
Light to watery body with appropriate carbonation.
I would drink this Lager (actually American Pale Lager) any day. Crisp and clear as a Bohemian Pilsner with a hop profile of an APA.

Label says beer is good for another 16 months (that's a record for me for a beer with only 4.7%).
Label also says Pilsner, so I'm reviewing it as a pils (it says American pale lager above - I've no idea what that tastes like, but pils I know well).
Poured in a 33cl stange. Cellar temperature.
Look:
unfiltered - cloudy; pale yet darkish yellow; smallish head considering fast pour in a stange glass.
Smell is Lemon! juice and peel; something wild (*not* skunk) - cant pin it down though - a smell I've gotten from certain wild plants, it's tangy, maybe it's what lemon trees smell like.
Taste is lemon, lemon peel, citrus ... unfortunately there's not much else going on here. There is a certain sourness that one can get in kellar biers, which fits wells with the lemon-ness. So, the hops here are good, but there's not enough support, no backbone. In the finish it's a little flat -- not the worst, but with those hops you need more going on...
