A dark ominous looking beer pours from the tap giving a medium to light tan head with good retention. The beer is blacker than the aces of spade and opaque. The head was creamy and billowy with good retention.
Nose: Rich roasted malt, iodine, earthy, biscuity, caramel, chocolate, coffee, and some yeasty notes.
Taste: Roasted malt, earthy, sea, iodine, earthy, biscuit, caramel chocolate, and some yeasty notes.
Mouthfeel: Thick creamy full bodied beer, with good amount of carbonation, and a medium finish.
Overall: A very good beer that has great flavors and is a good scotch ale.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, yeast, hint of syrup, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of a Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, yeast, hint of syrup, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, good blend and body; above average Scotch.
