I traded for this one while waiting in line at an OH release not knowing what to expect, and boy was I surprised. Honestly this was undrinkable. I literally dumped 2/3 of the can down the drain. I thought it was skunked at first and then looked at other reviews on here and realized no, that's just how this one tastes. Metallic and gross fake vanilla morphs into pinesol, bleach, and finally burnt plastic. No fruitiness in sight. I really don't understand these lactose beers. The creamsicle thing obv makes sense with fruit bomb IPAs as a subtle lingering aftertaste so I could understand the idea to include milky vanilla flavors, but this just didn't work at all. It's like mixing orange juice and milk and dumping a little bleach in it for good measure. I wasn't mad for the trade though because I also got some Sand City, Tree House, and Alchemist stuff from the same guy. Can't win em all eh? Thanks Mike!

There's something really off here. I wanted to sit down and write a more extensive review for this beer but. It's bad. Like don't buy it. Idk if the can I got was old. It was an add on in a trade but seriously this beer is a no go for me. Hard pass.

16 oz can. poured into IPA glass. pours very hazy straw yellow. aroma is similar to a creamsicle. some pure hop notes as well, citrus driven. atificial orange flavor. lingering bitterness and artificial sweetener. the aroma started pretty nice, but the flavor is a bit of a turn off. not their best stuff.

Looks the part as a hazy, frothy, IPA but the nose and taste are off-putting. Sweet vanilla dominates and gives an artificial, or at the very least unwelcome flavor. Doesn't meld. Good mouth feel, creamy as expected. Borderline undrinkable due to cloying vanilla sweetness. This beer just didn't work for me.

American IPA, brewed in eastern PA, conditioned on fruit and vanilla beans, with lactose added. Golly gee, I wonder where this idea came from?

Cloudy burnt orange body. Not hazy, but just kind of dark and murky. Small initial fluffy head that vanished almost completely. Spotty lacing. About 1 inch was left in the bottom of the can because I started getting a lot of floaties.

WEIRD nose. Like tangerine juice and vanilla with a touch of metal. The citrus zest and vanilla overpower else. The vanilla is reminiscent of bad vanilla saltwater taffy.

Tastes of canned Mandarin oranges and citrus rind. Horrible milky vanilla extract-like flavors (I know they used actual beans, but it's very artificial here). Sickly sweet from the lactose. Grassy bitterness on the tail end that combines with a sharp astringency that I can only assume is from citrus pith. The aftertaste is long-lasting and unpleasant.

Soft and medium bodied, with low carbonation. Creamy, juicy finish.

If you're going to blatantly rip off another brewery, at least do it well. And this comes from someone that doesn't really like Tired Hands all that much. It gets slightly better as it warms up, but I couldn't finish 16 oz can on my own. Everything tasted fake and unrefined.

Edit: 15 minutes later. Wicked stomachache.
