Levante Brewing Co. "Le Marche Barrel Aged"
on tap at the brewery on 24 February 2017
$7 / 12 oz.
Notes: 11.4%. 36 IBUs. Hazy dark brown body with ruby highlights beneath a creamy head of white. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma of dark sugar, cocoa powder, and dried sticky dark skinned fruit. The flavor delivers caramel, almost-burnt sugar, honey, nuts, dark skinned fruit, soft vanilla and oak, and a light note of coconut. It's rich and sweetish with a drying finish. Some residual fruitiness lingers after the malt has faded. Really remarkable. Quite nice. Impressive in its deftness.
