Does it make a difference? This particular rendition rings in at 7% ABV, not the 6.6% listed here. That's what is on the pint can which has now had its contents decanted into a clear glass Imperial pint mug. The color is a purplish rose, dark and opaque. There's a nice pinkish head, too. The smell is mostly of black currants, which suggests this should have some body. It does, but it really can't be considered a true sour. There's too much lactose here for that. Second to the currant, the cherries, both sweet and tart, add to the flavor. Even the blueberry and mango, which also adds sweetness, can be detected within. It's a nice tasting fruited malt beverage, but it's a sweet, not a sour. Probably because of the cherry inclusion, there is a mild tartness. Now, this contradiction doesn't make this a bad brew. But this will be more appealing to people that are switching from light beers to hard seltzer than anyone that enjoys a true sour. The black currants do add body, although there's virtually no glass lacing, but help disguise the significant alcohol content. What a hybrid, a milkshake fruited sour that's not at all as bad as it may sound.

16 oz can (stored in the fridge) poured into an oversized wine glass
A- Purple with a massive light purple head. Beer to head ratio is about 1 to 3.
S- Black currents, some other berries, lactose, hints of cherries, touch of wheat.
T- Tart, black currents, berries, some fruit skin, some cherries, lactose.
M- Smooth, high carbonation, light body.
O- Not bad, but it seems like there was a good amount of fermentation in the can that shouldn’t have happened.

A super bright tasting sour with a nice feel and finish. Not too much lactose and an overall light body.
