Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is dark brown, head presents 2 fingers thick and is light tan in color, mixed frothy head with small/medium/large bubbles and nice lacing.

Smell is light sweet malt, hint of roast, light caramel, toast, biscuit, no real hop presence.

Taste is similar - light, sweet malt, notes of roast, toast, caramel, clean hops; very easy to drink with more malt flavor with warmth.

Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation for the style, moderate sweetness, low bitterness.

Overall a pleasant, moderately sweet, well done darker lager. Straddling the lines of dunkel an schwarzbier in terms of style.

Or so reads the ink on the bottom of the can. Whatever dafuq dat means.

Body looks like straight up pepsi cola with a finger of light tan head. Decent retention and lacing. Nice milk chocolate note right up front on the nose. It's also got that same sweet bready note that most Belgian beers have (minus the yeast). Not really picking up much hop, but it smells fookin' nice. Tastes it too, at least up front; cocoa dust hits you immediately before a sort of earthen hop note makes its presence known. It's not terribly bitter, but it's there. It's almost like drinking dirty 'ol garden hose water. Not nearly that wretched, though. Sweet but not overly so. Light; no heaviness at all. It's an easy drinker if thats your jam. Me, I'm not especially well-versed in this style but I'm intrigued by what I've sampled. And thus ends 925 characters that never state whether or not I actually liked the damned thing*.

*I did, for the record. I'm often a little too stoned to formulate a coherent review, however.

16 oz can into mug

pours very dark brown but not quite black, thick cream colored head. good head retention. Aroma is mild cocoa, toasted bread, earthy hops. Taste starts similar, but then more of a cola flavor, and has a bit of sweetness. Flavor has a bit of an odd finish, not sure if this staleness or not (no date on the can). Medium bodied

A thanks to the man who added this beer, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a cola color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, light hops are present, smooth and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.
