Described on a pint can that was emptied into a clear glass Imperial pint mug as a West Coast Style IPA. The color is a bright copper-amber, rather translucent and with a billowy white head. That head contributes to some nice glass lacing. Indeed, it does have that resinous piney aroma associated with the style. The malt body is supple and it brings some sweetness, but this is hop forward and then more hops at the finish. They are just what to expect from a West Coast IPA. sharp, bitter, resinous and piney, making this a great example of the style. Additionally, the hops present taste fresh and cleanly. A little alcohol burn just slightly effects the mouthfeel adversely, but other than that, this is one fine West Coast Style IPA, brewed three thousand miles away and much closer to the East Coast.
